White astilbe is awesome right now and nearby is the decimated ligularia, one of my favorite plants destroyed almost completely by a caterpillar. Other plants which thrive in this high water table area are ferns, daylilies, hostas, and wildflowers, especially my favorite, the winterberry.
Husband and I live in a rural area of New Hampshire and love the magic of New England, winter and summer, especially winters including all the snow.
People have asked how Food Art evolved. Well, it's simple really. Take one cancer patient who had no interest in eating and no real ability to eat anything but pureed foods, and there is your answer. A 6'2" big boned man went from 215 pounds to 160 and dropping. Food Art was born. And God bless all of you out there who are struggling with the same thing.
